Out with CAP, in with SEID

Over the years, it has simply been called CAP. But the Foundation’s Container Assistance Programme portfolio has seen a restructuring, in operations, name and function. Still under the management of the charismatic Ricky Maharaj, the portfolio’s name has been changed to Socio-Economic Infrastructure Development (SEID) to align it with community needs, government priorities and the Transnet Infrastructure Plan (TIP), based on the corporate plan of Transnet.

Transnet SAFA School of Excellence 2015 intake trials kick off

It is again that exciting time of the year for the aspiring young South African soccer athletes. On the 2nd-3rd August 2014 The Transnet South African Football Association (SAFA) School of Excellence will be conducting the final leg of trials for the 2015 intake. The trials are open to players born in 2001 and 2002 who will be in Grade 8 or 9 next year.

The scheduled arrival of the Transnet Phelophepa I Healthcare train at the Modderivier Station between the 28th of July and 1st of August 2014 will no longer take place. The train has however been rerouted to the neighbouring Beaconsfield Station owing to the infrastructural developments currently underway to improve the Modderivier Station.
